Apprentice Signwriter

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and creative individual looking to start a career in the signage industry. Join a supportive team and gain hands on experience while completing a nationally recognised Signwriting Apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Signwriter, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn all aspects of the trade. You will assist with the production and installation of signs and graphics while developing valuable practical skills through on the job training.

•  Assist with the manufacture and installation of signs and graphics
• Prepare materials and tools for sign production
• Learn to operate signwriting equipment under supervision
• Measure, cut and apply vinyl, paint and other signage materials
•  Assist with the installation of signage at customer locations
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Follow workplace health and safety requirements
• Care for and maintain tools and equipment
• Work with qualified signwriters to complete projects on time
• Develop new skills and techniques through ongoing training

• Basic computer skills, with experience using design software viewed favourably but not essential
• Completion of secondary school or equivalent
• A valid driver's licence is desirable
